National Lottery RAFFLE5 - Win a Mercedes-Benz

Here are the key points you need to know for the next National Lottery Raffle draw:

How to Play the Raffle

The Raffle is simple to play but it is not quite like the rest of National Lottery operator ITHUBA's other games and works very differently to a traditional lottery.

Tickets go on sale on 20 October 2019 and cost R50 each - be quick, as there are only 500,000 tickets available!

Each ticket contains a unique code, consisting of seven digits. This code is generated automatically at the time of purchase so you cannot choose your own numbers like you can with a game such as Lotto or Powerball.

When the raffle takes place, winning codes are selected at random; If your code matches one of the winning codes - it has to match all digits exactly in the right order - you win the corresponding prize.

Where to Buy Raffle 5 tickets

At a retailer

You can buy your Raffle tickets from any of the 8,000+ ITHUBA lottery retailers in South Africa, just by asking the clerk for a ticket.

If there isn't a lottery store anywhere local, you can also find Raffle tickets from smaller retailers who have access to A2PAY or RA Cellular platforms.

You can also play online, eliminating the risk that your entry could be lost or stolen. If you take part online, you will be notified straight away if you are a winner. Regardless of where you buy tickets, though, you might not want to wait too long to play as there are a limited number of entries on sale once the game launches.

After the Raffle has taken place, you can find the results straight away and use the Checker to see if you have won.

What Prizes Can You Win?

It has only been announced so far that the ten winners of the top prize will each receive a Mercedes-Benz C200 Cabriolet, while the cash prizes on offer will be worth R4.6 million.

The exact number of prizes that will be put up for grabs in the Raffle 5 draw will be displayed here at a later date.

Previous raffles have offered a range of exciting prizes, plus cash awards. In the most recent draw, on 29 December 2018, the top prize was a new home worth R2 million and there were six lucky winners. Another 50 players won R10,000 each.

Raffles have traditionally taken place in late December to celebrate Christmas, with the first one taking place in 2016. Other prizes over the years have included cars, such as Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolets and Mini Cooper convertibles.
