Find the latest PowerBall prediction for Friday's draw. The predicted numbers are taken from a statistical analysis of previous draws and are presented below ahead of every game. You can also see the most recent prediction to see how many numbers were matched.
Calculating the Predictions
ZA.National-Lottery.com has developed a way of calculating PowerBall predictions based on statistics from previous draws. By looking at the winning numbers from the most recent draw and then looking back in time to see when they last appeared, a prediction can be generated that aligns with historical results. Here is exactly how the predictions are worked out:
- Start with the results from the most recent draw
- Go back to any previous PowerBall draw that shared any of those winning numbers
- Look at the draws that immediately followed and count the frequency of every number that appeared
- Rank all the numbers to find the hottest and coldest numbers
- Combine the most common and least common numbers to get a prediction for the next draw
The numbers analysed only take into account the main PowerBall draws and not PowerBall Plus. It is up to you whether you use the predictions, but you should remember that these numbers are only provided as a statistical aid. There can be no guarantee that the numbers generated will appear in the next draw. Every draw is a separate event and the odds of winning are the same regardless of which numbers you choose.
