The jackpot, which had been rolling over since the beginning of March, had reached the colossal R112 million figure after Friday's draw failed to produce a top prize winner.

The two jackpot winners both bought their tickets using the Manual Selection method at the following locations:

By matching the all-important winning combination, the winners shared the biggest lottery jackpot won so far this year in any South African lottery. Take a look at other big PowerBall winners.

In total, 6,086,218 tickets were sold for the Tuesday 4 May draw, with 369,107 of those going on to win a prize. In addition to the two jackpot winners, four lucky players won R141,340.50 each by winning the Div. 2 prize for five main numbers without the PowerBall number.

The jackpot resets to R5 million for the next draw, while PowerBall Plus continues to roll over with a jackpot of R46 million up for grabs.

Big Winners in All Games

PowerBall isn't the only game to have produced some Div. 1 winners so far this month; Daily Lotto has seen 12 lucky players win a share of the Div.1 prize in the five draws so far this month - that's an average of 2.4 top prize winners in each draw!

The flagship Lotto game created a new multi-millionaire on Saturday 1 May, after the lucky ticket holder matched all six main numbers to take home a Div. 1 prize of R13,296,348.10.

For soccer fans, Sportstake 13's Weekend Fixture List 1,466 proved to be successful for 2,815 players who correctly predicted all 13 match outcomes. Due to the large number of winners, the R1,043,802 jackpot was split and each winner received R370.80.
